From the Biblical perspective.

How can we grow in our DIVIN3FINANCE$?

Hebrews 13:5

Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,

“I will never fail you.
    I will never abandon you.

This is a great reminder that life isn’t about growing money, life is about growing relationships.

Most importantly life is about growing our relationship with God. By the grace of God I’ve had the joy of meeting many different types of people. People with a lot of money and people with a little money. Thinking about two of the most influential people in the New Testament Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul, they both didn’t have a lot of material wealth but they rich in relationship with the Almighty God. Both Jesus and Paul were satisfied with what they had and were glad.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:6 -

God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
    for they will be satisfied.”

Paul wrote (or his scribe wrote) in Philippians 4:11-13 -

11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.

12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.

13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

God is the great provider, where God guides, God provides, if it’s God’s will, it’s God’s bill.

Isaiah 58:11

The Lord will guide you continually,
giving you water when you are dry
    and restoring your strength.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
    like an ever-flowing spring.

Instead of pursing deeper pockets for ourselves let’s pursue a deeper relationship with God.

God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
    for they will be satisfied.”

-Jesus Christ

Are you more afraid of money leaving you or God leaving you?
